Rained Out … Again!

I know I’m about to sound like a whiny bitch from LA but here goes anyway. I’m tired of this fucking rain. I can’t do construction work when it rains, my car gets muddy when it rains, and the worst part of all is I can’t play softball when it rains. Our summer season was supposed to kick off last Sunday but whattaya know, it was rained out. Cut to this week, and we’re rained out again. I’m over it, this ain’t Seattle and I sure as Hell didn’t sign up for three months of rain. Enough already! OK I’m going back to bed. Cuz I like to sleep when it rains.

Bless Me Father, For I Have Sinned

And by sinned I mean failed to blog more frequently. Most people might think that someone who’s unemployed (ME) would have all the time in the world to keep a blog updated, but I’m here to state the contrary. I have found it almost impossible to find the time to sit down and attempt to entertain you all. If I’m not traveling somewhere then I’m working a construction job, and if I’m not doing a construction job then I’m job hunting, and when I’m not job hunting I’m moving or helping friends move, or cleaning or anything else you can think of.

I guess I’m trying to say that I’m sorry for letting you all down and revealing that I am in no way shape or form superman. Though I sometimes think I am. But in all sincerity, I vow to try my hardest to put SOMETHING up more often. I hope you’re all well, healthy and employed… and still reading.

In my defense, I was on a lot of pain medications from the stitches on my face and wasn’t thinking clearly. Oh wait, that doesn’t help my case does it? Pink Stole the Show!

I haven’t even watched the Grammys yet and I would bet anything that this was the performance of the night. Seriously is she even capable of a poor performance? I doubt it. Come on people! Every note spot on and all while dangling upside down and spinning. Who does that?! Pink bitches.

And why haven’t I watched the Grammys you all ask. Well it’s my birthday week and me, my amazing boyfriend and four other couples are spending it in Aspen. Tonight I went shop to shop asking if Laura or Brooke had been there. The only answer I got was “WHO?!” Ummm hello, Laura and Brooke from the VH1 hit show “Aspen”. Oh wait, sources are telling me the show was already cancelled. SHOCKING! Anywho, after that little adventure we headed back to the ranch, had a lovely home cooked chili extravaganza of a dinner and ended with a testosterone charged game night. My team won of course ;).

So long story short, that’s why I didn’t watch the Grammys. I’m sure it was long and drawn out so for your sake I hope you had something better to do as well. Nighty night bitches.

I’m Home!

Yes they let me out of Chateau Cedars. And first and foremost, THANK YOU to my AMAZING boyfriend. He didn’t leave my side not once. Even though sometimes I wanted him to ;). Thank you baby.

As for what was wrong, well the jury is still out. Can you believe after 7 days in the hospital and every test known to man, they still couldn’t figure my shit out?! It was straight out of an episode of House. I kept waiting for Hugh Laurie to burst in my door and start screaming “stop those meds! they’re going to kill him!” Never happened although I did imagine some crazy stuff while doped up on pain meds.

Anywho, long story short, I’m home, I’m resting, and I’m feeling better by the day. If this is what 2010 has to offer, bring it bitch! I’m ready.

I Have A Good Excuse!

There’s actually a reason other than construction, fatigue and laziness for the lack of posts this week. I’m in the hospital. ;(

Just Me Hospital

So here’s everything in a nutshell. Monday after lunch my lower back started huting. Then my groin area started hurting. Within two hours I couldn’t walk cuz I was in so much pain. Soon followed fever and chills and a visit to the ER.

They thought it was kidney stones but after tons of tests found out that wasn’t the case. Since then I have undergone every possible test available including a spinal tap yesterday which still has me in pain and yet not one test revealed anything.

In a few hours I will undergo minor surgery to remove a lymph node in the groin area to test for lymphoma or any other possible infections. And all I can think about is the fact that I might not be able to pitch for my team in next weekends softball tournament in Vegas. ;( Anyway, the nurse is back. I’ll try and keep you updated.

I’m Not Dead!

I know I know I know! I should never go that long without blogging and checking in with you bitches. But trust me when I say that I have been swamped! In fact if I didn’t have my iPhone I probably wouldn’t even check my email these days.

I know you’re all thinking that I’m “unemployed” and I should have plenty of free time to devote to OBP but that isn’t quite the case. Believe it or not but I have been doing construction for the past month or so. Yes bitches, don’t laugh, you read it right. I said CONSTRUCTION. And for your info my father may he rest in peace was a master carpenter and my mom was an electrician so I know my way around wood and tools. HAHA! I just don’t know actual names or terms. I make up my own, like sandermajigger and twister thingy. Anywho, I haven’t forgotten about ya’all. I love you and will blog more. Promise

OH! I’ve also been traveling a bit. Was in Kentucky meeting the boyfriends family and then in NM and CO visiting mine. A few pics after the break if you care.

One for the Nerds and Do-Gooders

First for the nerds. Yes I’m joining the ranks. I played my first official session of Dungeons and Dragons yesterday and it was AWESOME! That’s right, I said it and I don’t care who knows. So now that I’m full fledged some HUGE news has just hit the fans. Wait for it … Wait for it … There’s a hidden gay scene in the new Dragon Age! Oh Ma Gawd! I think my pen just exploded in my new pocket protector. Good thing I have one for each day. Can you believe it?! Isn’t that Uh-May-Zing? Big thanks to the makers. Gay nerds everywhere won’t sleep til they find it personally. For the rest of you, you can watch it here.

And now for you do-gooders. Nothing big except a little charitable news. I will be appearing in two 2010 Calendars this year. I will grace the cover of Sober Sexy Men 2010 and all proceeds will benefit The Tweaker Project here in LA. Also, I had a photo shoot last week with some really adorable bunnies for a pet rescue calendar. Each month features a different rescue organization and all proceeds will be awarded to each participating group. Being able to be apart of both calendars is a blessing that I’m truly grateful for.
