I know I’m gonna take a lot of flack for saying this but Perez is right. Violence is NEVER the answer. In case you’re lost and have no idea what I’m talking about, let’s recap quickly.
Perez was at the MuchMusic Awards in Canada over the weekend and that tranny Fergie confronted him about him bashing one of their (Black Eyed Peas) new singles. Then Will-I-Am-a-dumbass did the same later at a club which was followed by his manager punching Perez in the face multiple times outside of said club. Will made a tape saying it was just some random nobody that hit Perez and Perez made a tape saying it was the manager. Now papers have been filed against the manager for assault. There, you’re caught up.
So much dramz. I will say however that I’m not surprised. It had to happen eventually but that doesn’t excuse it. No one should ever get physical and the law states that words and conversations are NOT provocation for assault. Here’s the thing, I grew up around tons of violence and I would NEVER lay a hand on someone unless it was to defend myself and in which case I would try to avoid at all costs. I can’t even stand to hear people screaming at each other. It makes my stomach turn.

Actually no, I’m not a friend of Perez. When I was at TMZ I HATED the fact that we had to check his site in case he ever broke any stories. I’m def not a fan. But, once in a LONG time, I actually agree with him. I feel as though karma is a lot more complex than just someone’s fist pummeling someone. Just my thoughts.

Perez is an ass. Everyone knows that. He slams celebs just to get off, and has been downright RUDE on some lvls. That said, there is no reason to to get physical. Sorry to say, but that actually goes to show who is actually the bigger man. Fergie confronted him, said her piece, and so did Will. Fine. But to have someone go up and sock him? And did I hear right that he came at Perez from behind, talk about a coward. Dude deserves to have charges pressed against him. Never thought I’d say it, but I’m on Perez’s side as well.

First off, Perez called the guy a faggot. For someone who tries to fight for gay rights, why use that word? He even used the word in a hurtful, derogatory context. Just further proof Perez is a total hypocrite.
Secondly, Perez Hilton is a piece of shit. After the supposed assault he twittered for help. TWITTERED! If you were really assaulted wouldn’t you phone the police or call security?

I think he had it coming for a while…after talking so much shit bout people for so long, it wasnt going to be long before he got ” harrased’ . If I saw him on the street, I would have definitely thrown a shoe at him for hurting so much people with his words, then run away.

I agree and I disagree. I would never advocate violence, because I just feel it is the most ineffective way to deal with things, and I just can’t stomach it. That being said, I have read his blog quite often, (there I admitted it) and it is like self torture. I can’t stand him but I can’t turn away. He is hypocrytical, mean, angry, selfish, disgusting and completely self righteous. I can see how someone can snap. I don’t agree with the violence, but really, he didn’t respect when Fergie came to talk to him, he just brushed it off as having a hissy fit. No, it was not the right way to deal with it…but what other way could they get their point across? And I disagree with the part about words. Words can hurt far worse than and maybe they shouldn’t provoke violence, but they definitely do. It is the caveman in us all. The need to protect ourselves. Perez is full of shit when he talks about not needing the publicity…everything he does is for publicity and the makes his living of trash and negativity…so really that will catch up with him (either on this planet or the next…Karma gets you everytime.).

Violence is not the answer. But thinking that you can be as deliberately offensive and provocative as you feel without consequences is foolish. Plus, Perez lied! Why would he claim that Will hit him, when WILL didn’t? Why would he claim that his “security guards” were part of the “assault”???? When he’s called on the story, it becomes “his manager hit me.” Liar. Also–look at his vicious attacks on people like the former Miss California. Whether you agreed with her views or not, and most of us probably don’t, she merely expressed her (outdated and limited) opinion. That gets her a barrage of hate from Perez, but then he turns and calls people names? And names such as “faggot” etc, that would have most of us burned at the stake? No pass. In this case, he was overdue for a backslap. Or two.
Perez didn’t get hit because he dissed the album, Perez got hit because instead of walking away, he escalated the situation by calling Will.i.am a faggot - KNOWING it was going to further piss him off. Freedom of speech is not freedom to speak without consequences. Perez had every right to say what he wanted to say/blog what he wanted to blog - but when you choose an action, you choose the consequences too. If you don’t want punched in the face, don’t talk smack about someone that you know there is a 100% chance of being punched in the face by. Violence is never the answer and I’m disappointed that Will.i.am didn’t choose to walk away from an inconsequential piece of crap like Perez - but I won’t say that Perez didn’t deserve it either. What the crap did he THINK was going to happen when he chose to escalate the situation?

Unlike many of the people who have left comments before me, I have been a follower of Perez Hilton for a few years now, and have never really taken issue with anything he’s posted or said before. That has all changed in the past few months. I’m finding that he is starting to lower himself down to the lowest common denominator and citing his right to free speech as justification for essentialy being a smut peddler. The most recent proof of this for me came when he leaked the Dustin Lance Black sex pictures. Now, dont get me wrong, I totally looked at them……alot! I am a red blooded American gay man after all. However, it is rediculous for Perez to say that “if you dont want pictures like this to get leaked, dont take them in the first place.” This statement seems to absolve him of any responsibility for humiliating an otherwise creative and respectable artist. Now, of course Perez has the right to put whatever he wants on his site, but really? Is it necessary to post such graphic images that were obviously never meant for public view? In my opinion, common sense and a decent moral compass trump the right to say what is on your mind. Tearing down others by exposing them (literally exposing them) in a compromising position (or 2 or 3) when it is obvious the people in question never wanted these images released, only to blame them for the images existence in the first place is cowardly. The fact of the matter is that PH has total control of what goes on his website, and he must take responsibility for all of its content. Just because a sex tape exists, does not mean you have to put it online for the world to see. I know that many of us, myself included, have found themselves caught up in a moment when taking sexy pictures seemed hot, only to regret that moment the next day. I would be absolutely mortified if these private moments were made into a very public spectacle. I did have a glimmer of hope for Perez a few weeks ago, during the whole Miss CA thing. It seemed as though PH was going to become a leader of the contemporary fight for equal rights…only to once again drag it into the gutter by calling her a bitch and a cunt publicly, thus taking our venerable fight for equality and turning it into a Jerry Springer segment and erasing all credibility. Then came the DLB sex pictures, followed by the Leighton Meester sex tape, and now this whole Will.I.Am smackdown. While I dont agree with violence, I do agree with the idea that if youre man enough to dish out a ration of shit, you have to be man enough to take some shit in return. He says catty, bitchy, and hurtful things about other people on a daily basis and then has the audacity to complain about someone taking issue with his very public statements. Some people tear others down with their fists, while others hide behind tghe first amendment and a computer screen. The final nail in PH’s coffin as far as I’m concerned is the revelation that PH called Will.I.Am a faggot…….WTF???? I giant queen like Perez actually spouting off that drivel in the most ignorant and hateful way possible?!?!? So in this case, yeah, he deserved to get hit!!! I would have done it myself if he said that shiz to me!!!! I cannot with a clean conscience be a PH follower anymore……..Im sticking to Oh Bitch Pleez for my celebrity gossip, and besides, A is WAY hotter than PH and WAY funnier!!!!
